According to Wikipedia, on 20 June 1991 during the opening ceremony of the Johor State Legislative Assembly, the Sultan of Johor (Sultan Iskandar) punched and slapped Pang Hok Liong and fellow DAP assemblyman Wong Peng Seng, after which the then-Crown Prince Ibrahim Iskandar kicked Pang in the legs, with the DAP central committee confirming the incident though no police report was made.

“the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Iskandar, punched and slapped Pang Hok Liong and Wong Peng Seng, who were both DAP members and Johor state assemblymen at the time.
