Candidate · N26 Merbau Pulas (1990)
Mahmud bin Md. Zain is documented in the records as a UMNO/Barisan Nasional state assemblyman for the Merbau Pulas seat in Kedah, winning the seat in three consecutive state elections (1982, 1986 and 1990). All three wins were by large margins of between roughly 3,900 and 6,200 votes. No records were provided on his biography beyond these electoral results, his policy positions, or his conduct in office, so most non-electoral areas remain unassessed.</summary>
